The first paragraph, yes to everything! With Castiel involved, Sam and Dean have seemingly just become reactive characters to their own story. I get so annoyed in posts involving Castiel (especially recently) just due to the fact so many people act like its completely incomprehensible for some of us to dislike him and want the show to move forward beyond this sad little box they've worked themselves into. Smh.
I'm also really hoping we get pissed off protective older brother Dean. Seriously I miss the overall brotherly feel of the show. That, plus the horror movie feel, what got me into the show in the first place so it's been massively depressing to see it all dwindle away the last couple of seasons. I'm trying not to get me hopes up too high, while trying to remain optimistic.
